Rather than using the character models and graphical style of Advent Children, which by that point had been developed using ten-year-old technology, the team decided to create new designs and models for characters: Nomura wished to balance the realism of Advent Children with cartoon stylization. Nomura was in charge of the revamped main character designs, while designer Roberto Ferrari was in charge of designs for secondary characters.

As the design work progresses, we also need to add in additional notes about the characters’ emotional states or the nature of the situation at the time.

Even so, I still think you'll get the most out of Rebirth if you have played Remake. I only got to check out the first chapter and began to make my way through chapter 2 before my time came to a close, but nothing quite beat the joy of seeing these characters I'd started to get to know in Remake once again. 

Sephiroth: The main antagonist and legendary supersoldier of Shinra Company, believed to have died five years ago. He is on antagonistic terms with Cloud but needs him alive for unknown purposes.

Developing a new numbered Final Fantasy game is a balancing act. Players have expectations of what they’ll encounter but still crave elements that change up and build upon established series traditions.

Though Johnny is not part of the group, Tifa fears he might still spill something, and Cloud and Tifa save him by taking out the soldiers holding Johnny under arrest. Cloud is about to kill Johnny to ensure he will not expose Avalanche, but a shocked Tifa stops him and Johnny instead flees Sector 7, vowing to never return.

Tifa awakes in Junon seven days later and finds a world in chaos: a meteorite looms over the sky, a sign of the impending end of the world. Sephiroth has surrounded the North Crater with a barrier preventing either Shinra or the Weapons from attacking his true body, and the creatures have taken to attacking Shinra's sites of power instead.

I designed these together with several other designers. Some of the posters look like they were intended to spread the influence of the Shinra company in public spaces, and there are also some more generic ones.
